Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade 2006

I walked in my first parade ever today. Following Team Rolle at the Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade. I must say, the energy for Scott was surprising if not exciting. Gansler had his 4-6 paid volunteers who garnered little more than obligatory waves from the crowd. But when the 25+ (unpaid, read: REAL) Volunteers for Rolle headed up in the rear by Blaine Mossburg and Devon Rolle in the Rollemobile, it says something. What said more was that with No Candy, no sugary bribes, Scott garnered the most enthusiastic applause of any candidate in the parade, other than perhaps Governor Bob Ehlrich or Lt. Governor Michael Steele.

Speaking of which. I captured this tender moment before the parade began. Devon has developed quite the relationship with the Lt. Gov. this election season.

Here's Team Rolle. Someone forgot to throw the dashing young photographer in the photo! Enjoy these others! (I love the buddy-buddy one of Scott with the Governor!)
