07 November 2006¡Yo Voté!
I voted. I don't know about you, but I just get so damn energized casting an election ballot. I hope that in twenty years' time that I still have the same energy in voting. I firmly believe to my core that the only way to effect change is to cast a vote. To my idiot friends who don't vote or to those who aren't registered: you are the reason other's mock American-style democracy. As expected, I cast my ballot for Scott Rolle for the office of Attorney General. Over the last few months I have had the opportunity to be with the man, and understand the man. I know from the bottom of my heart that Scott would serve Maryland well and that he would make the best, fairest and most honest Attorney General. Please, if you haven't voted, please consider voting for Scott. Learn more about Scott at the attention-grabbing website that I designed: ScottRolle.com The Gazette of Politics and Business made the astute decision to interview me about my experience designing political websites. I will admit, as I did in my interview with Chuck Ford, that I am a novice to political websites, but as many of you know I have designed and collaborated on projects for companies from Stone Photography to Visa International to the movie Melting Glass to the National Union of Jewish Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Intersex, Queer and Questioning Students (NUJLS) — that's a mouthful! While I may have never previously designed a candidate's website, I was able to bring something that Scott wanted: a fresh outlook. Scott campaigned to be the different, independent candidate, and he needed an attention-grabbing website that had broad appeal and functionality. In the article I am quoted as saying "'My initial response was I wouldn't help another Republican win statewide office in Maryland,' Schuck said. But after the meeting, 'I felt he was a good enough man that I could help him theoretically get into office.'" Where I was misquoted: I want Scott to win. I have since our first meeting. There was an energy inside of him that electrified the room. I was, and continue to be, captivated by his honesty. And that, above all else, is the integrity that sways my vote in every election. Please vote for Scott. Maryland needs this competent, humble prosecutor in Baltimore fighting for justice. Subscribe to Posts [Atom]
